Depicting Human Expression through Dance and Art
Editorials News | Apr-04-2017
Performing arts is a form of art in which artists use their voices and/or their bodies, often in relation to other objects, to convey an artistic expression. It can be channeled into a wide spectrum of human expression through modern dance.
Making best use of this formula, Goa-based art gallery, The Cube Gallery hosted a soulful performance by the dance-art company, Omaggio.
“Our team consists of young talent from across the country and together we share the responsibility to raise the standards and introduce multi-disciplinary performing arts as a serious mode of expression”, says Tino Sanchez, artistic director for Omaggio.
Performing arts include dance, music, opera, theatre, magic, illusion, mime, spoken word, puppetry, circus arts, recitation and public speaking. There is also a specialized form of performing art in which the artists perform their work live to an audience.
