Dhoni Prevented The Tri Color To Touch The Ground

The former captain cool has made India and its people proud from his incredible play and decisions on and off the cricket ground. He has won hearts several times on the field; the former India skipper had once again proved his immense love for the country.
This happened when a fan invaded the ground to meet the cool sportsman during the third and final T20I against New Zealand at Hamilton. The interrupting fan ran towards the popular sportsman to touch his feet along with an Indian flag in his hands. When he reached close to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he bent down towards his feet thereafter inadvertently the flag touched on the ground. On witnessing the flag brushing the ground, Dhoni quickly grabbed the national flag from the hand of the fan and lifted it up. This incident happened during the first innings when New Zealand was playing, who were invited to bat first and thus had put 212 runs on the board. In response to the score made by New Zealand, Indian team got off to a very slow start losing wickets in the starting but the long batting lineup made it sure that they try to reach close to the total and shall remain in the contest which continued till the final over. But finally India lost the final T20 match by just four runs, despite it the hard fighting efforts made by the men-in-blue earned a round applause from everyone on and off the field. While the former skipper Dhoni, was playing his 300th T20 match, but couldn’t do much to help his team win as he departed with the score of 2 runs. While talking about the International T20 matches, the quick man had played in 96 T20 Internationals and scored 1548 runs at an impressive average of 36.85. Dhoni in these 96 matches has made 56 catches along with 34 stumping’s in total to his name. Thus the brilliant gesture went viral on Twitter, giving fans a moment of joyous. Fans retweeted the video of this incredible moment. While love for the nation is often seen in the star players. May it be Sachin, the god of Cricket in India was seen putting often the tricolor on his helmet on the field and taking national in his hand after winning the World Cup under the captaincy of former captain cool.
