
Disappeared Pile of India and Eurasia

A study has discovered that half the real mass of India and Eurasia gone into the Earth's interior many years ago. The study was led by researchers at University of Chicago in the US. The researchers said, 60 million years ago, huge pile of India and Eurasia disappeared before the two landmasses started their slow-motion impact.
The research has come up with certain implications that may help people to understand the evolution of Earth. Moreover through the research people can learn the development of continent in its present size, stated the researchers. The researchers said that the study can reveal the involvement of Earth’s interior behind the missing pile of India and Eurasia. The scientists have explained that missing chunk might have gone back down into the Earth's mantle.
