All India Football Federation, simply known as AIFF, was formed in 1948. AIFF is the governing body of association football in India. It is also the one of the founding members of Asian Football Confederation. Asian Football Confederation oversees everything about football in Asia.
Indian Football Association was the ruling body for Association football in India just before the formation of AIFF. All competitive football tournaments and leagues at national level such as I-league and Federation Cup are ran and sanctioned by AIFF. Management of Indian National Football team, women’s team and various youth national sides are done by AIFF. It is also a part of South Asian Football Federation which is the organization that runs football in South Asia. Its headquarters are located in Dwarka, Delhi.
Praful Patel is the current President of AIFF. Kushal Das and Kishore Taid are the General Secretary and Head of Operations and Strategy respectively.
