Dwarka: Tracing the Footsteps of Myth and History

Settled along the shore of the Bedouin Ocean in the western Indian territory of Gujarat, Dwarka remains a demonstration of the conjunction of fantasy and history. Adored as perhaps one of the most holy cities in Hindu folklore and accepted to be the abode of Master Krishna, Dwarka allures guests with its rich legacy, profound importance, and building wonders. As per Hindu folklore, Dwarka finds its beginnings in the unbelievable city laid out by Ruler Krishna, the eighth symbol of Master Vishnu. It is said that Master Krishna established the city on the banks of the Gomti Waterway in the wake of escaping Mathura to get away from the oppression of his uncle, Lord Kansa. Dwarka, hence, turned into the capital of Krishna's realm, known as the Yadava tradition, and a center of heavenly exercises and divine appeal.

For dedicated Hindus, Dwarka holds huge otherworldly importance as one of the Scorch Dham journey locales, adored close by Badrinath, Puri, and Rameswaram.
