England Spinner Takes Retirement

England popular spinner Laura Marsh recently has announced her retirement from the international cricket. In her marvellous 13-year long career, Marsh got featured in 103 ODIs, 67 T20Is and 9 Tests and also scalped 217 wickets across various types of formats. The 33-year-old has also made her debut against India in the year 2006 as a seamer when before she switched to spin.
She is also known as the most successful spinner in the entire history of English women's cricket and also third-highest wicket-taker in the ODI.
She was one of the leading wicket-takers in England's 2009 ICC success of Women's World Cup. She was further one of one five members of that squad, which went on for winning again at Lord's in year 2017.
Managing Director of Women's Cricket, Clare Connor has said in a statement that the record of Laura Marsh has ranked her amongst the very best bowlers in the entire history of our game but the stats show just one part of her overall impact.
She further added that Laura will be remembered by all those who have ever played with her and worked along with her for her loyalty, her kindness, and her relentless desire for improving.

Connor also said that there are not many cricketers in this world have won a total of three World Cups, and these are her wonderful memories that Laura will take with into retirement. Laura has been the complete team player and a role model for all England women's cricket and she will be for sure missed.
