Cricket is one game which is loved by everyone. It is a bat-ball game played between two teams of eleven players each. There are many mind blowing facts about cricket. Sri Lanka has a sole Test win against the Aussies till date. Sanath Jayasuriya has been able to score ODI wickets more than Shane Warne. The two stadiums Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla stadium and Bangabandhu stadium have been known for hosting more ODIs than Lord’s.

Not only this but the highest number of runs scored in an over is not 36 but actually 77. Adam Gilchrist has made the record for playing maximum Test matches straight after debut. Factually he played 96 test matches in all from 5 November 1999 to 24 January 2008 continuously. In 21st century, Ishant Sharma has made the record of being the only batsman to have all the three highest scores made against India. Alistair Cook who made 294 runs in Edgbaston 2011; Michael Clarke who made 329 runs in Sydney 2012; Brendon McCullum who made 302 runs in Wellington 2014- all were left behind by Ishant Sharma in their innings. Indian spinner Bapu Nadkarni had bowled 21 consecutive maiden overs vs England at Chennai on 12 January 1964. Chris Martin and B.S Chandrasekhar have scored more test wickets in their career if compared to the test runs they have scored so far. Wilfred Rhodes had taken 4,204 wickets in First Class cricket along with scoring 39, 969 runs. Sir Jack Hobbs had scored 199 centuries in his First Class career. Also, Sunil Gavaskar had scored an unbeaten 36 off 174 balls in a World Cup Match. Jim Laker, in a test match, had made a record of taking 19 wickets. In a World Cup, Saurav Ganguly is the only Indian player so far to score a century in the knock out stages. After Virat Kohli played for the first time, India has chased down 300+ targets five times. Mahela Jayawardene is the only batsman who had scored centuries in both the Semi-Final and Final of a World Cup. Not Rahul Dravid but it is Courtney Walsh who has the most number of not outs in Test cricket. Saurav Ganguly is the only player who has won four consecutive Man of the Match awards in ODIs. In International Cricket, Dirk Nannes has represented both Australia and Netherlands together. Shahid Afridi had scored fastest century using a bat borrowed from Waqar Younis in an ODI match. In 1989, Sachin Tendulkar along with 23 other cricketers made their International debuts. Also, in the International Cricket, Inzamam Ul Haq took a wicket on the very first ball that he bowled. Sir Don Bradman has only hit 6 sixes in his entire career. Virender Sehwag’s scored highest in T20, ODI and Tests have 119, 219 and 319 respectively.
