Female foeticide is the process of checking out the sex of the fetus and undergoing abortion if it's a woman. Why? this is often because that it's female? Female foeticide now has become a disgraceful and shocking truth of our nation. In India a robust fondness for sons over daughter. People wish for smaller families with comparatively greater sons by abusing medical technologies. it's one among the most motives for declining sex ratio.
Why Female Foeticide?
Female foeticide has been in practice for periods especially for the families who have a preference only son. Several religious, social, financial and emotional are the rationale for female foeticide. But the time has been changed now much however, many reasons and beliefs are ongoing in some families. Some main reasons for female foeticide are:
Generally, parents don’t need a girl baby because they need to offer an enormous amount as a dowry at daughter’s marriage.
• There may be a faith that girls are always consumer and boys are the sole producer. Thus Parents understand that sons will earn money for the entire life and care for their parents however girls will marry each day and can have a separate family.
• There may be a belief that the son will carry the name of the family in the future however the girl has got to carry the husband’s family.
• This may be a prestigious issue in society for parents and grandparents to possess a boy baby within the family besides having a daughter.
• There may be a stress on the new bride of the family to offer birth to a son so she is enforced to travel for sex recognition and abort if girl baby.
• Illiteracy, insecurity, and poverty of individuals in society also are major reasons for girl baby burden.
Prevention Methods-
It is very clear by now that female foeticide may be a crime and an excellent social disaster. After identifying the explanations behind this unethical practice, we must strive to eradicate it completely. Firstly, sex determination may be a great cause of this crime. Thus, the determination of the sex of the fetus must be made illegal. Moreover, stringent measures must be taken to make sure they're followed correctly.
Furthermore, the govt must ban the straightforward availability of the medical equipment one needs for sex determination and abortion. they need to jail those found guilty of practicing this crime must and the government must terminate their license. Moreover, the oldsters who aim to try to to it must be penalized heavily. Above all, people must be made conscious of this unethical practice in the least levels. we must respect the daughters of our country. Also, they need to tend an equivalent priority as their sons. Girls don't have access to education, healthcare and more because the boys do. this is often why parents consider them a burden. Therefore, these facilities must be made accessible to them for an equivalent. this may help them create an identity of their own.
Forthcoming is that the name of your girl child, past is that the name of your mother. this is often the truth that NO PRESENT, NO PAST, NO FUTURE WITHOUT GIRL CHILD. Female foeticide is suicide. So, save the girl child and secure the longer term. there'll be the damaging results of the feminine feticide. Demography reports warn India that within the next twenty years there'll be a scarcity of brides within the marriage market mostly due to the adverse sex ratio.
