Few Of The Notable Achievements Of Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar who is a former Indian cricketer is universally regarded as one of the best batsmen of India of all time. He was the first sport’s batsman who scored a double century i.e. 200 runs not out just in a single One Day International match as well as he is so far the only player who has scored 100 centuries in the internationals. He has played first-class cricket for over 26 years and one day, whereas his international career extended exactly 24 years from 15 November 1989 to 16 November 2013.
In 1994, he received Arjuna Award and became a recipient for achievements in cricket then after just 3 years in 1997, he was one of the five cricketers who were selected as the Wisden Cricketer of the Year. In the same year, as well as in the following year i.e. in 1997 and 1998 he received (India's highest sporting honour) Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna.
Furthermore, he was awarded with the honourable Padma Shri award in 1999 which is India's fourth highest civilian award. Just after two years from receiving the Padma Shri award he was presented with the Maharashtra Bhushan Award in 2001 which is extra ordinarily Maharashtra's highest civilian award. Then after a few time of seven years in 2008 he was given India's second highest civilian award which is undoubtedly the Padma Vibhushan. Moreover in 2010 he was also presented with ICC Cricketer of the year which is again the highest award in the ICC listings. One more time in the same year i.e. in 2010 he received LG People's Choice Award which is itself a matter of immense pleasure. Further in the year 2014 he was honoured by the Bharat Ratna which is India's highest civilian honour. He was presented with the ICC World Test XI for consecutive three years that were 2009, 2010 and 2011. He received the ICC World ODI XI in 2004, 2007 and 2010 and the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World in 1998 as well as 2010.
