As far as Tennis is concerned, how can we forget the role of a tennis court? A tennis court is a venue where the sport of tennis is executed. A firm rectangular surface with a low net stretched across the center makes it a perfect surface for both doubles and singles matches. A variety of surfaces can be used to create a tennis court, each with its own properties which affect the playing style of the game.
The experts of Tennis always recommend Clay court as one of the finest courts. Clay is certainly the tennis court surface that is easiest on the body. That is why it is so famous among senior tennis players.
As per the experts, clay courts are made of crushed shale, stone, brick, or other boundless mineral aggregates. The French Open uses clay courts to make it unique among the Grand Slam tournaments.
There are two known type exist that are red clay, the more common variety, and green clay. Green clay is also known as "rubico", because it has a harder surface.
The clay court is less expensive to construct as compare to other types of tennis courts. However, the maintenance costs of clay are high as the surface must be rolled to protect flatness.
