Fifa to Host U-17 World Cup in Guwahati

Currently FIFA delegation has gave a green signal to the Under-17 football World Cup in Guwahati, india. After this, Guwahati will become the fifth Indian city to be recognized as a venue for next year's Under-17 football World Cup. The FIFA inspection team has visited the venue and was happy with the preparedness and training amenities.
Match Director of the LOC, Mr Javier Ceppi appreciated the newly elected state Government. Mr Ceppi said that the government helped them to push the matters forward in Guwahati. The match Director also added that the government has supported them by realizing the importance of hosting the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017.
Additionally, the Chief Minister also understood the importance of the sport in the state. According to the director this event was a part of the Chief Minister’s vision of making
