
Green Vegetables Give Strength and Power

Since we were two or three years old, we were told that we should eat loads and loads of green veggies. We always wondered why? As we grew, we studied the importance of green veggies that they give strength and power because they have vitamins and minerals. These vegetables contain fibre and essential vitamins like vitamin- C and vitamin- K. Such veggies also have minerals like calcium and iron. These vegetables contain several antioxidants which help in making our body strong to fight diseases. So, let us know about some delicious green vegetables that give strength and power.
• Spinach: Widely known as a superfood, this dark green leafy vegetable has a huge amount of vitamin- A and it also contains iron, magnesium and calcium. It is also great for cancer and asthma prevention. This veggie also helps in managing diabetes. Many beauty bloggers also suggest eating it as it is great for skin and hair.
• Broccoli: Packed with health benefits, this cute tree-shaped vegetable is rich in fibre and vitamins like vitamin- K, vitamin- A, vitamin- B9 and vitamin- C. It also contains potassium and phosphorus. It’s great for digestion and relieving constipation. This veggie also helps in several types of cancer protection.
• Cabbage: Rich in vitamin- C, cabbage is great for one’s heart health. It is also great to lower down blood pressure and cholesterol levels. The best part of this vegetable is that it is very easy to add in one’s diet. It can be eaten as a part of salad, as a cooked vegetable or even as a sandwich!
So, let us include these superfoods in our diet and stay healthy!
