
Hockey Pro League Will Witness Indian Teams

Nine teams for both men and women category have been selected to participate in Hockey Pro League. It is going to start from January 2019. Indian teams in both sections have performed well with Australia, Germany, England, Netherlands, New Zealand and Argentina.
International Hockey Federation (FIH) announced that fixtures will be held in national stadiums from January to June. Countries like India, Argentina, Australia, China, England/Great Britain, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand and USA are going to send their women’s team. Men’s team from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, England/Great Britain, Germany, India, Netherlands, New Zealand and Pakistan are confirmed.
FIH said that the nine teams were selected by an extremely competitive candidate evaluation process. 13 men’s and 12 women’s applications were submitted by national associations. The teams from men’s side which could not make into selection were Ireland, Malaysia and Spain. The women’s teams from Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Japan and Spain were not chosen to participate in Hockey Pro League.
