Houston Lost Their Run Against New Orleans Pelicans

In the month of January, Harden’s ended his month on a low on Tuesday night not because he failed to live up the expectation but because the Houston Rockets lost his game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The guard had 37 points to extend his National Basketball Association [NBA] streak of a least 30 points to 24 games.

Finishing the month with an average of 43.6 points per game, according to ESPN is the most by any player since wilt Chamberlain's 45.8 in March 1963, harden was irate at the manner of his “terrible loss”.

In the interview with ESPN, the home defeat had been a letdown. Houston was poor from three - point range 19 of 56, and 40 of 101 overall.

They had failed to take advantage of missing the four points by Pelicans in the five starters and still reeling from the trade of marquee player Anthony Davis on Tuesday.

The visitor was also on the poor run, dropped by five of their last six games, whereas Houston was coming of three straight wins.

However, New Orleans Pelicans player Jahlil Okafor produced high season 27 points while Jrue Holiday had a fine defensive performance, producing 19 points, six rebounds, eight assists and six block shots.

That is enough to stop James Harden, who was the next to the Michael Jordan in March 1987 to score 600 points in a month.

Milke D’Antoni rockets coach admitted that holiday, the Pelicans only regular starter did “heck of a job”. According to the more valuable player, Jrue is probably is one of the main defender of the league, if not the best.

The all-star felt that the uncertainty surrounding of the Davis future, Pelicans has proven the statement wrong that they were here to play basketball.

“Everybody in this locker room according to their playing ability”, said by Holiday. The message was just to have fun, play together out there, give it your all and we can live it with the outcome, Okafor said.

Davis, who was not playing in the game due to finger injury, watching the game from the bench hour after the NBA fined him with US$50,000 (S$68,000) because if his agent’s public revelation of his desire to be traded violated the league regulation.
