Editorials News | Jan-03-2019
With the end of every series and game, Virat Kohli’s influence over the Indian cricket team has just been increasing as the Indian skipper has played a vital role for the team at every aspect whether it’s about supporting a new add up or dealing with the senior players irrespective of the conditions he had performed exceptionally well in every way for which he is always praised.
Especially on overseas tours where Indian team has failed to prove themselves in the past, Kohli is double a player than the best among the Indian batsmen. His outcomes are amazing whether it batting, fielding, captaincy, sledging, handling the players, etc. India almost wins every match in which he scores well. Recently India is heading towards its first test series win in Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as the team won the 3rd test match and lead the series by 2-1. Since Kohli stepped into the role of captain he came out to be one of the world’s best batsmen in all the three format of the game and notably he is becoming the cricket’s biggest name in the world, he seems to put the energy level high of the Indian side. He breaks his own records and in heading to become a legend. It also influence the team India as when players see that their captain is doing different things a certain way to achieve the win and leading right from the front that too very consistently in all the formats, they without any excuse put up their best efforts. As other players are influenced by the energy and positivity as they find it difficult for them to hide, because if the skipper can do it and if he can put all his efforts and perform on the tough grounds, then there is no reason for anyone else to underperform. In the recent interview before the Australian tour, Kohli said that Sport taught him discipline as while playing sports you face different challenges, so overcoming the challenges on a regular basis helps us to do every work of life easily. At the same time, he tends to be fit as being physically more active makes a person mentally more confident. He thinks that the fitness changes has helped him become more confident mentally. But being fit and confident only starts with a slight change in your way of dealing with things.
