Editorials News | Jul-05-2017
The Indian women’s team gets their third straight win in the tournament after beating Pakistan by 95 runs. The Indian batting order collapsed early and the match seemed to be slipping away from the Indians after they managed to put a tottered total of 169/9 on the board. Nothing went right for the team during the 1st innings as they lost wickets in very quick successions and performed far below if compared to their last two matches.
It was Ekta Bisht, the left arm spinner who turned the table for team India with her amazing wicket taking capability. The Pakistan team collapsed early at a disappointing score of 74 runs.
With this win, India sits on the top of the points table with 6 points, having won all of their matches in the league by far. India will now face Sri Lanka on July 5 and South Africa on July 8.
