
India Is Ready For Davis Cup Asia

India will be participating in next Davis Cup tie in the Asia/Oceania Group 1 competition. The competition will be held from February 3rd to 5th, 2017. Last Thursday Indian Tennis team played a match in New Zealand which is known as the origin of Davis Cup.
It was last year when team India was certified for the world group competitions after beating team New Zealand by 3-2 scores.
Indian team is back in action after being defeated by team Spain in the world group competitions. Indian team Captain Anand Amritraj stated that, this time players who did not participated earlier in the play-offs due to physical injuries will get a chance to play.
Meanwhile the officials have also stated that they are looking for a good venue for hosting the first round of tie in India. There are certain possibilities that the first round of the competition can be played in Maharashtra as Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association has also shown their keen interest for it.
