 India Placed In Tough Group In Basketball

India is recently been placed in a tough group which includes defending champions of Iran in the 28th FIBA Asia Men's Basketball Championship which will be held in Changsha in the country of China ranging from September 23 to October 3. The other teams in Group A are currently noted to be Japan and Malaysia. 

The 12-member young Indian squad under the amazing head coach Sat Prakash was provided with their kits at the time of ceremony that took place in Bengaluru.
The FIBA Asia Championship has served as the qualifying event for upcoming Rio Olympic Games to be held next year.
Veteran guard and Captain Vishesh Bhriguvanshi said that most of his core team is fully intact, so he and his team hope to perform good and better this time. He also said that his primary goal is to win the first game against Malaysia, and further give tough fights to Iran and Japan. Further, he shared that if they will manage to do that, then they will progress to the second round.
Bhriguvanshi has returned to the national side along with other mates Yadwinder Singh, Amritpal Singh and Amjyot Singh Gill. Others who at this time made a comeback to the national side included Akilan Pari and Vinay Kaushik.
Forwards Amritpal and Amjyot have notably become the first Indian players to secure professional playing contracts in Japan and they will be raring to showcase their brilliant talent at Asia's marquee event.
Rajesh Uppar, Vikas Kumar, Aravind A, Siddhant Shinde, Akashdeep Hazra and Gurvinder Gill are the other players in the list. It is also known that Budget airline Air Asia will also sponsor the team's participation at the time of event, which was known according to a release.
