India to Compete Against Chile in the Finals

The Indian Women’s Hockey team qualified for the Round 2 of Hockey World League after a defeating Belarus by 4-0 in the semi-finals. India will now be playing against Chile in the finals. With this victory in the semi-finals, India also qualified for the FIH Women’s World Cup 2018.
India had the game in its hand since the start. India earned its first penalty corner in the 13th minute, but Gurjit Kaur’s goal got India the lead of 1-0 in the first quarter. The Indian skipper, Rani successfully converted a penalty stroke and gave India the lead by 2-0. The Indian women played quick hockey and Rani bagged another goal for the country and took India’s lead to 3-0. Gurjit Kaur again struck a goal and made India victorious by 4-0.
The Indian skipper Rani later said that they were happy that they played as a strong unit and won the game. The team is now excited to compete with Chile in the Finals.
