India Vs Sri Lanka T20I, Nidahas Trophy 2018: Statistical preview

After losing to Sri Lanka in the first match of the Nidahas Trophy, the Indian cricket team defeated Bangladesh in the second match of the tournament. The bowlers who had a little difficulty in gathering their pace in the first match against Sri Lanka performed a lot better against Bangladesh. Shikhar Dhawan's half century helped Indian team batsmen to complete the chase comfortably. India was able to achieve the target of 139 that was set by Bangladesh with notable contributions from Manish Pandey and Suresh Raina as well.

Sri Lanka lost to Bangladesh just a few days ago but still remains on the top with Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma standing at the second position on the table. The Tigers broke the record of the highest run chase ever accomplished in a T20I by an Asian side after chasing down 215. All the three teams are set to reach the finals now. However, if India is able to beat Sri Lanka in their second match, they would be one step closer to the final.

Shikhar Dhawan has delivered in almost every match and has scored a total of 288 runs in his 5 T20I innings so far. Manish Pandey has delivered some quite consistent performances as well. Among the bowling line-up, Jaydev Unadkat has become a crucial part for the team. Washington Sundar has also given some spectacular bowling in the first two matches. Let's see if the Men in Blue come out victorious this time around.
