India Wins Against Australia to Level Series

India dismissed Australia in the second inning to win by 75 runs. Ravicharan Ashwin played the best part by picking 6 wickets against the Australian team. The Indian team had a good start by setting a target of 188 runs to win. The match started after the over-night target of 213/4. India had planned to set a high target for the Australian team. But it suffered a late batting collapse, when the Australian players Josh Hazelwood and Mitchell Starc struck within quick intervals.

Australia tried to achieve the 188 run target on the tricky pitch, but again got a breakthrough when Ishant Sharma dismissed Matt Renshaw for five runs. Umesh Yadav put India in lead with the leg-before dismissals of Shaun Marsh and Steve Smith. India bagged another two wickets before the tea break.

Post break the match did not take long to finish. Ashwin and Jadeja removed Starc and Steve O’Keefe respectively. The win was soon sealed with quick dismissal of Peter Handscomb and Nathan Lyon. The Man of the Match was given to KL Rahul, for his fifties in both innings.

With this win, India has balanced the series at a 1-1, with just two more matches to go.
