Indian Women Cricket Team Locks Series in Fourth T20

Indian team in the 4th T20 against Sri Lanka played in Colombo chased down the target easily with seven wickets in hand in more than an over left. There was a fantastic show by Anuja Patil and Jemimah Rodrigues. They were unbeaten till the end, both reached to the half century mark.
Though the match was limited to 17 overs after the rain affected the 4th T20 International, the Second T20 was washed out, after which India has now taken a 3-0 lead in the five match international series. The final match is to be played on Tuesday. India has already won the preceding ODI series against Sri Lanka. Patil achieved a figure of 3/36 which helped India to stop Sri Lanka to 134 runs for 5 wickets in a 17 overs per side contest. Shashikala Siriwardene was the top Scorer for Sri Lanka with 40 runs of 32 balls. India chased down the target in less than 16 overs and 7 wickets in hand, as Patil scored 54 not out of 42 balls and Rodrigues scored 52 not out of 37 balls. At one time India lost 3 wickets for just 41 runs in first 4 overs before Patil and Rodrigues came to the rescue and played a match winning knock. Rodrigues made it to a winning shot with a six down the ground and completing his 3rd T20 fifty.
