Indian Women’s Hockey Team Beat Belarus 3-1

Indian Women’s Hockey team continued to show their fine form as they managed a third straight win in the five match series against Belarus. India outshined Belarus with a 3-1 win on Sunday. Rani was the star of the match for India as she scored two back to back field goals in the 35^th and the 39^th minute. The goals helped India come back stronger after Belarus had already taken a surprise lead.

The series is helping the team to gear up ahead of its Hockey World League Round 2 tournament in Canada this month. The first quarter of the match ended goalless. The Indian captain Rani, with her out-standing performance helped India clinch the third straight win. The third and final goal was scored by Deepika in the 42^nd minute. The defenders did well to keep the visitors from scoring in the final quarter, thus ensuring a win.
