India’s Performance in Cricket World Cup

2019 world cup has arrived and by far India has performed brilliantly. India has performed very well and has been the World Champions for two times. The first win which I think is a historic day for all Indians out there is the day when India won its first cricket world cup in 1983 where India which was not the strong team at that time won over teams like West Indies and Australia. Mr Kapil Dev who was the captain of the team at that time was the face Of team. After that the second win was in 2011 where India triumphed over Sri Lanka under the captaincy of Mr Ms Dhoni. India's historical win-loss record at the cricket world cup is 46-27, with 1 match being tied and another one being abandoned due to rain.
THE FIRST CRICKET WORLD CUP
The 1975 Cricket World Cup was the first Cricket World Cup. It was held in England in June 1975 and consisted of two weeks of one day matches that were played 60-overs-a-side. The format consisted of a group stage, in which each team played the other three teams in its group of four. The top two teams from both groups would progress to the semi-finals.
2019 CRICKET WORLD CUP
In 2019, India is considered one of the favourites to win World championship this year. The tournament that is hosted by England and Wales has grabbed the attention of many. The record of India prior to the tournament has been excellent, with highly successful tours of Australia and New Zealand, which was followed by a narrow 2-3 loss in an ODI series at home against Australia. The team of India for this World Cup is considered to be a strong one, with a powerful batting line comprising captain Virat Kohli, openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, K.L. Rahul and veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a fast bowling line-up comprising Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar hailed by experts as the best fast-bowling unit India has ever produced.
