Napoleon Hill was born in 1883 into a poor family that lived in a single-room cabin on the Pound River in Wise County, Virginia. His mother died at the age of 10 and two years later his father remarried. With time he became a turbulent boy, but later on grew up to be a mature man. He began his writing career at a very small age of 13 as a pickup reporter for small town newspapers and went on to become America's most precious motivational author.
Fighting against all class of great disadvantages and pressures he faced ups and downs in life, cleared hurdles live none can match him and proved to be faithful to his work, he dedicated more than 25 years of his life to define the reasons by which so many people fail to achieve true financial success and happiness in their life and the main reasons behind failures. During this time he achieved great success as an attorney and journalist working with leading barristers of that time. His early career as a reporter helped him to finance his way through out the law school. He was given an assignment to write a series of success stories of famous men who became successful following some must steps and his golden chance knocked when he was asked to interview steel-king of that time, Andrew Carnegie. Mr. Carnegie further helped Hill to interview over 500 millionaires so as to find a success formula that could be used by the average person to come at a good financial state. These included Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Henry Ford, Elmer Gates and many others. Thereafter, he became an advisor to Andrew Carnegie and experience the hurdles faces by successful people and how they got over. It took Hill over 20 years to produce his book, a classic in the Personal Development field called Think and Grow Rich. This book has been read by countless millions of people and has helped an entire generation to achieve success though clarity of thoughts. It was written over the book that “The secret to success is very simple but you'll have to read the book to find out what it is!” Napoleon Hill passed away in November 1970 after huge and successful career writing, teaching and lecturing about the principles of success and how to achieve it simply. His work stands as a milestone to earn any individual its achievement and is the monument of modern motivation. With sales of more than 100 million, his book, Think and Grow Rich, is the all-time best-seller in the field.
