Invention Of Super Hard Materials!

Super hard materials can be used to slice, drill and polish other Materials. They also hold power for making scratch-resistant coatings that can help to keep expensive equipment safe from the damage.
Now, science is opening the way to the develop new materials with these productive qualities.
Computational techniques have been used to find 43 previously unknown forms of carbon which are assumed to be stable and super hard, in which some are predicted to be slightly harder than or nearly as hard as diamonds. New carbon variety contains carbon atoms arranged in a different pattern in a crystal lattice.
"Diamonds are considered as the hardest material available commercially, but they are found very expensive," high-pressure experiments have done in the lab, compressing materials between diamonds, and they reported how expensive it is when the diamonds break in the experiment.
"We would like to find some material harder than a diamond. Researchers have been finding out other materials that are hard, by making them cheaper. They might also have some useful properties that diamonds don't possess. Maybe they can react differently with heat or electricity”
Hardness relates to a material's ability to resist deformation. As Zurek explains, it means that if you try speeding up discovery of super hard materials.
The techniques implemented in the new paper could be applied to identify other super hard materials, including ones that have elements other than that of carbon.
