Jawed Habib: Meet The Hair Stylist With A $30 Million Business Empire

Jawed Habib owns more than 550 unisex all over India and 3 of them outside India too. He is ranked among one of the best hairdressers and he is aiming to reach for more across the whole world. His business is currently worth at around 30 million dollars with a $200,000 operational profit for the year 2015-2016. Habib's aim for the global business is quite ambitious according to the Times magazine article. The growth of personal products and services sector India will rise at a rate of 9% annually and Habib is all set to take advantage of this. It is not market demands in Asia has increased considering there is also an increase in the income and fashion oriented styles.
Habib's grandfather was a personal barber for India's last Viceroy, Lord Mountbatten and also the first Prime Minister of India, jawaharlal Nehru. One of the reasons for the success of Habib is the way he targeted second tier Indian cities. In India, people don't care as much about originality as they do about looking like their favorite stars like Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. Habib never discloses any names of superstars he caters because of the professional confidentiality.
He wants to be known as the 'Tesco' of the industry and is planning to expand his projects to the village level too. He will be converting the existing salons so as to allow original names to be added to the brand title.
