Liverpool's Andy Robertson Supports Alisson

Andrew Robertson is a Scottish professional footballer who is associated as a left back for Premier League club Liverpool. He is also the captain of the Scotland national team.

He made a statement that the players of Liverpool team must not have any complaints with goalkeeper Alisson no matter if it is his mistake against Manchester United. The Brazil international scrabbled around Romelu Lukaku and crossed Jesse Lingard’s path for the equaliser at Anfield but as Xherdan Shaqiri had scored twice in final 20 minutes to secure a 3-1 victory else it would have been very costly. This is definitely not the first time when Alisson has made a mistake that led to a goal and that his Cruyff turn against Leicester made it possible for Rachid Ghezzal to score. There have been 10 clean sheets in 17 Premier League matches from Alisson, conceding just seven times. Also, last week, his added-time stop against Napoli made a corner for him in the Champions League. Reds defender Robertson said "He has been unbelievable this season and we all make mistakes". Usually when a keeper make a mistake, it turns into a goal but if Mo Salah or [Roberto] Firmino make a mistake, it could be possible that it is not punished. Undoubtedly, he is disappointed with it but he coped up quickly and is back. Liverpool had won over United and had led Manchester City by one point again with the title battle increasingly looking like a two-horse race. Robertson said that he is sure that Liverpool can take the challenge of Pep Guardiola and could extend their lead to four points along with winning at Wolves on Friday. He further said that "We are in December, we know how tough this period is but we are top of the league. We have just got to keep this period going”. However, third-placed Tottenham already have gained six points off the pace with Chelsea eight adrift. It looks like Liverpool and City are going to be have been exchanging blows on the top. But it cannot be denied that there is a long way to go and there are still big games to be played, starting on Friday night. From here, the team has to go on because it cannot be stopped at four games played well and simply stop or slow down. Focus is most critical as well as significant and from here the team must look forward to the challenge at Wolves as they have played very well this season.
