Lungi Ngidi- the Showstopper of the Series for South Africa

Recently the Cricket team of South Africa played the test series against India. It was proved as a lucky day for South Africa and a day to think over the performance for Indian team.

The entire Indian team scored poorly in reply of the high score of SA team. Virat Kohli batted well but did not get support of other players in same manner. On the other hand the South African team with their determined batting, smart bowling and amazing fielding, beat India by 135 runs and captured the Freedom Trophy. On the last day of second test match South African team needed seven wickets to win, but sealed the match even before lunch time getting the required wickets. Lungi Ngidi ended his impressive debut with a six-for 39. He was struggling hard for keeping his place in the XI in the West Indies team; Cheteshwar Pujara ran himself out and became the 23rd player to be run out twice in the same test match. It came as a shock for India. It looked like he had overestimated the speed of AB de Villiers and Ngidi. The other new batsman, Parthiv Patel, who batted ahead of Rohit Sharma, soon caught out by Kagiso Rabada in the air. Hardik Pandya and R Ashwin also could not do any magic with their batting. However, Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami added 54 runs but it was not enough. De Villiers caught a difficult catch of Rohit Sharma. South Africa was fined for slow over-rate.
