Maharashtra On Top Of The Medals Card in Khelo India Youth Games

Maharashtra has made a clear sweep in Kehlo Youth India Games Kho-Kho and thus it has gathered 68 gold, 51 silver and 62 bronze medals and topped the rankings as of now. When On a day in the games there were only four gold medals to be won, the host state made a clear intention to win all four in the Kho-Kho competition.

Maharashtra won the perspective gold medals in both Boys and Girls Under-17 and Under-21. With their clean way in Kho-Kho tally, Maharashtra have now gathered a tally of 51 silver and 62 bronze along with 68 gold. While on the other hand Delhi are eager to make up to 50-gold mark as they have only got 47 gold, 32 silver and 44 bronze till now. Whereas Haryana known as a capital of games in India had only scored 38 gold, 36 silver and 38 bronze. The Top-10 states on this tally remained unchanged from the last day. Meanwhile Kerala displayed their adaptive tactics of the sport they have picked up two silver medals in both the Under-21 section. Delhi in the category of Girls Under-17 and Andhra Pradesh in the category of Boys Under-17 won the remaining silver medals on the previous day. Barring the Boys Under-17 final against Andhra Pradesh. The most entertaining competition of all the matches was in Under-17 Girls' final match in which Maharashtra knocked out Delhi by a difference of 19-17 as the match was resulted by an extra inning where the host won it by 7-5 after both teams were equally levelled at the end of the second phase of the game. However soon when the focus was shifted towards the team events, Haryana had reached three out of four semifinal matches of the Kabaddi competition. The only semifinal they were not included was in Boys Under-21 category, where Haryana was unfortunately knocked out in the League stage. The Haryana girls have made a same pace in their game in the U-21 section as they knocked Uttar Pradesh team by a big margin of 32-26.  Now they will fight against Himachal Pradesh for the gold medal. Himachal won a very close match against the hosts after winning closely by 22-19.
