Maurizio Sarri, Manager is Working Well on Ross Barkley to Benefit Chelsea Football Club
Editorials News | Nov-01-2018
Chelsea Football club finds Ross Barkley to be its new goal scorer. He is a 24 years old, English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Chelsea FC and the England national team. He began his international career in 2013 and soon after that he played for England in the FIFA world Cup 2014.
On 5 January 2018, Barkley joined Premier League club Chelsea for a fee of £15 million, signing a five-and-a-half-year contract with the defending champions. In the last season, while playing for Chelsea, Ross Barkley scored 3 important goals and assisted in the other three in his last 3 matches for the season. Soon after he was compared with the legend, Lampard who has played nearly 200 games for Chelsea and was a fabulous midfielder that Chelsea seems not to miss much after the scores by Barkley. Sarri, Manager for Chelsea has pointed out the physical fitness as one of the biggest factors behind his improvement. Barkley has not always been known for his work ethic, but it was makeable that he ran just bit short of 12km against Burnley - the same distance as the indefatigable N'Golo Kante. On average, he is covering a kilometer and a half more per 90 minutes than he did at Everton. Further said "He's fitter, stronger and maybe that is something to do with what we are seeing now at Chelsea”. Back in July Barkley Explained that he have done everything that he could do to improve his game, further said I felt strong towards the end of the season and then, in the off-season, worked hard with the strength and conditioning coach. I got myself really fit just to give myself a head start. I am really prepared and I feel at home with the team now. There is one more thing to count on Barkley that explains his maturity for the game is that in the recent game in the last week he created four chances in the match against Burnley, which was more than any player in the pitch but what is most impressive is that he did it while barely wasting a pass. Over the course of the 90 minutes, he completed 91 passes out of 96. The manager and the team seem to be in full confidence in regard to Barkely’s game.
