
Meri List For 1st Class Admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya Is Released, Over 7.95 Lakh Applied

KVS admissions 2019: On Tuesday, March 26th, merit list is out on the respective school websites for parents and they can check them online easily at kvsangathan.nic.in. The admissions of students will start in 10 days' time. The dates of exams are not yet announced.
As per the official data which is released by the KVS, over 7.95 lakh applications were received for 1 lakh class 1 seats. The lists of provisionally selected students were at first released in respective schools and now are also available on the official websites.
The second and third list will also be released in case any seats are left. The scheduled dates for the same are April 9th and April 23rd, 2019 respectively. The admissions will begin 10 days after the release of the list and exact dates will be soon announced by the Sangathan.
According to the guidelunes of admission which are available on the official website for parents, in case some seats remain vacant after June 30th as the case may be, in the year of admission, Deputy Commissioner of the Region is empowered for allowing admissions upto the prescribed strength as per priorities in admission upto July 31st.
Later, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will announce the second and third lists on April 9 and April 23, 2019 respectively. KVS will declare the lists based on the availability of seats. The registration for class 2nd and above (except class 11th) will start from April 2nd at 8 am and will end on April 9th at 4 pm.
For 11th standard, the KVS will issue application forms in offline mode after CBSE class 10th result is declared.
There is a total of 1,137 Kendriya Vidalayas across the nation. The aspirants will be selected as per the priority category. In total, 6,48,941 candidates applied for around 1 lakh seats which are available in the schools. Last year, there was a total of 6,48,941 aspirants who applied for around 1 lakh seats.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is a system of central government schools in India which are instituted under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). It consists over 1,199 schools in India as of 1st November 2018 and three abroad. It is one of world's largest chains of schools.
