Must Attend This Annual Music Festival “Lollapalooza”
Editorials News | Dec-24-2017
Lollapalooza was conceived and created in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell. It started as a farewell tour for his band.
Lollapalooza ran annually until the year 1997. Then again it was revived in the year 2003. It is an annual music festival that features alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock, hip hop and electronic music bands and artists, dance and comedy performances, and craft booths. Lollapalooza has provided platform for non – profit and political groups and various visual artists. From its inception till its revival, the festival toured North America. Then in the year 2004, the festival organizers took a decision and expanded the dates to two days per city. Then, poor ticket sales canceled the 2004 tour. In the year 2010, it was announced that this music festival would debut outside the United States. It was again restructured into its current format as a weekend destination festival in Grant Park, Chicago. This restructuring was done by Farrell and the William Morris Agency in partnership with Austin, Texas – based company Capital Sports Entertainment, now known as C3 Presents.
