Navjot Kaur Created History at 2018 Asian Wrestling Championship

The Asian Wrestling Championship is organized by the Asian Associated Wrestling Committee every year. In 2018, it took place at Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan. India backed a total of eight medals with one gold and one bronze medal. With this, Navjot Kaur created history by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to win gold in the senior continental championship in the 65 kg freestyle category. In the 50 kg category, Vinesh Phogat won the silver medal and in the 62 kg freestyle category, Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal. Highlights about all the medal winners are as follows:

Navjot Kaur- She started slow, losing her first group but dominated in the final and created history.
