National Basketball League is the professional basketball league of Australia. NBL invited Amjyot Singh Gill, Amritpal Singh, Yadwinder Singh, and Vishesh Bhriguvanshi to participate in NBL Draft combine for the season of 2017-18. Four of them are the senior members of the Indian national basketball team.
The dates for combine were set on 17th and 18th of April at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. Total number of players was around 80. It included US college players, South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL) players, Australian state league players, and members of Australia's national U18 and U20's teams.
The players who participated paid entry fees of AUD $250. The entry fees for invited Indian players got waived off. This showed that NBL wants to enter the Indian market. To stream NBL games live in India NBL signed a deal with VEQTA last year.
