Novak Djokovic Secures His Fourth Wimbledon Title

Djokovic has made his way into the winner's circle again by winning his fourth Wimbledon title. He wins his first major since French Open in 2016. Novak Djokovic became 13 time Grand Slam champion after triumphing over the Wimbledon championship. The 31-year old returned to the winners' circle with an assertive 6-2 6-2 7-6 (7-3) victory over Kevin Anderson to gain his win over the championship after his French Open 2016 conquest. Djokovic has dominated the male tennis for the past decade by holding number one position for a total of 223 weeks. He completed a career in Grand Slam where he won the title two years ago at Roland Garros.

However, he suffered some setbacks where he said that dealt with some personal issues before he suffered a continual elbow injury that began to affect him and his career. He did not play for the whole of 2017 after that. After returning, he lost at the Wimbledon quarter-finals and opted to rest before making his return to 2018 Australian Open.  He still suffered from problem after his defeat at quarter finals by Hyeon Chung that led to a surgery in February this year. He did not expect to be in top shape at the moment but still took home a major victory during this year.
