Novak Djokovic: Showing Unexpected Performance!!

World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic has wilted under pressure in the semi-finals of Cincinnati Masters. Russian tennis player, Medvedev's win helped him to enter a title showdown along with another unexpected finalist. Belgian David Goffin, 16th seeded is the one who defeated France's Richard Gasquet to acquire his first ATP Masters 1000 finals.
Djokovic, who is an excellent player, looked to have a control over the contest in the starting time but later he was caught out when Medvedev in the second set stepped things up.
Medvedev, who has competed in 15 hard-court matches since July 30 said that he didn’t know how he turned that around, he was too tired after the first set and thought that he might be unable to keep up the intensity.
Although he had a chance and what gave him energy was none other than the whole crowd there, added the Russian, the one who will be playing his second master’s series final within eight days, after falling to Rafael Nadal in Montreal last Sunday.
Medvedev also said that Novak had always been destroying him on his second serve, therefore he always just went for it, he further added that it's a great feeling to conquer and beat the number one.
Djokovic has been the defending champion. He played his first tournament since his triumph in Wimbledon in July.
There was another upset which happened in the women's draw as well when Russian veteran Svetlana Kuznetsova defeated the top Australian player Ashleigh Barty.
Kuznetsova is a two-time Grand Slam champion and has been hindered by various hurdles. Recently she got an injury and was in search of her 19th WTA title.
Kuznetsova by her efforts denied Barty another chance to claim the world of her number one ranking which she missed by not reaching to the finals.
Tennis as a sport has recently seen and witnessed major triumphs and disaster which are not very common in this sport, yet it is an interesting time for all tennis fans as they can witness the curiosity of what will happen next.
