PETRA KVITOVA IS BACK TO TENNIS COURT

Petra Kvitova, the two time Wimbledon champion has got back to the tennis court recently after a break of over four months. In December, the 27-year-old Czech, who ranked 15 in the world, suffered career-threatening injuries in her left hand resulting from her fight against a knife-holding intruder at her house in Prostejov, eastern Czech.

Doctors had said that the tennis star wouldn’t be able to get back to competition ahead of the second half of the year.

Kvitova recently posted a photo of herself on her Facebook account. In it she was seen hitting a ball on a practice court in Monaco. She wrote "Hello guys, I hope this picture makes you as happy as it makes me! I am in Monaco and guess what? I'm back on the tennis court, hitting with some proper balls."

Kvitova, the proud Wimbledon champion of 2011 and 2014, is also a bronze medalist of the Rio Olympics. Last week, her name was included on the entry list for the French Open. It is to be held from May 28 to June 11. However, this inclusion does not necessarily mean that she will participate in Paris.
