PR Sreejesh Selected For (FIH) Athletes’ Committee

PR Sreejesh, captain of the Indian Men’s Hockey team has got selected for the eight members FIH Athletes Committee. FIH Athletes’ committee contains a total of eight current and former hockey players. These players have the responsibility to act as a bridge between the FIH and the athletes to make sure the players have voice in the FIH decision making process.

Earlier Sreejesh along with the team has won a historical silver medal feat at the FIH Championship Trophy in London Last year. During an interview, the captain said, he was waiting for the responsibility grant upon him by the FIH.

The FIH official said that Sreejesh’s responsibility will be to seek and provide feedback to the FIH on behalf of all athletes. Additionally, the committee is also planning to interact with the current athletes in a number of ways including post-event surveys for the athletes and coaches to get direct feedbacks from the FIH events.
