Pullela Gopichand and Abhinav Bindra, selected for Olympics Task Force

Beijing gold medalist Abhinav Bindra and Pullela Gopichand have got selected for an eight-member task force formed by the Sports Ministry. As per the reports, this team will help in planning to draw new procedures for next three Olympic Games.
During Rio Games in 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced that a task force will be set up to help & plan for the 'effective participation' of Indian sports persons. Additionally, the PM had announced the years of the next three Olympic Games which will happen in 2020, 2024 and 2028.
The existence of Viren Rasquinha, former Indian hockey captain, is making this force more exciting among people. Viren is the only other ex-sportsperson included in this newly formed task force.
The other five members of the task force include School Sports Promotion Board head Om Pathak, hockey coach S Baldev Singh, who runs an academy in Shahabad.
