A rainbow is a climatic phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersal of light in water droplets resulting in a chromatic spectrum of light turn out in the sky. It takes the form of a multicolored circular arc in the sky. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.
1. A rainbow is a polychromatic arc that forms in the Sky.
2. Rainbows can be seen not just in the rain but also in the mist, spray, fog, and dew.
3. When sky’s one part gets sunny and another gets rain that’s the time when rainbow raise in the sky.
4. There are seven colors formed in a rainbow and the colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
5. There is a short form of rainbow to remember its colors ROYGBIV or VIBGYOR.

14. We can’t see rainbows in the winter because in the winter raindrops freeze into snowflakes so fewer raindrops fall.
