The 23rd Ramjas Basketball Championship League began today with the auspicious lighting of the lamp. Mrs.Rachna Pant, Principal, Ramjas School, R.K. Puram inaugurated the Tournament by unfurling the RBCL flag amidst the chanting a shloka followed by a melodious song.
Today’s cool weather was a boon for the players. The tournament began with a match between G.D.Goenka, Dwarka and Montfort, Ashok Vihar .Both the teams played very hard and Montfort, Ashok Vihar won the match. The second match for the day was between Raghubir Singh Jr.Modern and Sanskriti School. Sanskriti School won the match with a lead of 12 points. The much awaited match between Bal Bharti, Pitampura and the host school, drew a full house with the hosts winning the match with a convincing margin. The second last match for the day was between DPS,Mathura Road and Amity International, Noida. It seemed like a cake walk for DPS as they won the match with a lead of 32 points making them the highest scorers for the day. The day concluded with a match between the Scottish High School, Gurugram and Modern School, Vasant Vihar. Scottish School won the match with a lead of 11 points. All the teams left the court with promises of many more nail biting matches.
