Speech is something that has been given to us since our birth. It is something that is God-given. As humans, the most natural way of expressing ourselves is through speech and body language. Through the help of speech, we convey our emotions and thoughts, information, feelings, sentiments, and a lot more to other people. And our country should give us that freedom to express ourselves through speech. Speech is considered one of the basic rights of humans and for the people of India. It makes our country and it makes the citizens feel liberal and free. We as humans, like to be free from all the bounding, we desire the freedom to do anything we want. That is why our country has given us the right to freely talk about things. But there are some guidelines and rules to make us understand the values that humans should have.
Expression is a term that is not only limited to speech but also other mediums through which we can express ourselves and our opinions. We humans can express different information not only with the help of our mouths but also through writing, reading, printing, through the help of graphics, pictures, videos, images, and a lot more.
The freedom of Liberty that our country gives us does not limit us to express our opinions but it helps us to propagate our point of views so that we don't get suffocated by the things we might feel for a situation or other people.
In modern times like the 21st century, we are free to take the help of different mediums to express our point of view. The medium mainly consists of social media and internet platforms.
But there are some rules and regulations that are there in the right to speech and expression.
These rules and regulations are not there to limit our expressionism but to remind us that what can also be used as a weapon to harm others. It teaches us about how one is supposed to choose their words while speaking I am not hurt anyone in the process.
Shira some of the regulations that maintained the peace of our country:
1. If a person does not have enough proof of facts to prove their opinions and point of view, they are not supposed to say anything that will end up harming a person's reputation and lifestyle.
2. The right of speech and expression is also known as freedom of the press. press is it platform through which we get a lot of information from around the world. But the press is also a platform through which truths come out. As citizens, we do not go and clarify things the dress published is authentic or not. The majority of the audience believes in what the press tells them. That is why it is very important for the press to not spread information that does not have a strong base of facts. Even if it does there is some information that has to be kept confidential to not harm anyone's personal information and personal lifestyle.
3. It is, in fact, a criminal offence, if a person ends up defaming another person in any way irrespective of the facts and figures provided.
