Ronaldo Praises Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal Parera is the Spanish professional tennis player who has currently been world No. 2 in the men's singles tennis by the Association of Tennis Professionals. Nadal had not only won 17 Grand Slam singles titles but also has been successful to make a record of 33 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles, 20 ATP World Tour 500 tournaments, and the 2008 Olympic gold medal in singles.

In addition to this, he was also a member of the winning Spain Davis Cup team in 2004, 2008, 2009, and 2011. It is sad that Nadal had missed the Australian Open because of a foot injury. In 2006, he was injured on his shoulder during a quarterfinal match against Lleyton Hewitt at the Artois Championships, played on grass at the Queen's Club in London and was unable to finish that match and finally ended his 26-match winning streak. His first official ATP tour event happened in 2009 which was the 250 series Qatar Open in Doha and he had lost in the quarterfinals to Gael Monfils. The former tennis player Raemon Sluiter had spoken all well about Rafael Nadal. He had praised the intensity and dedication with which Rafael shows in all his training sessions. While speaking to AD.nl, Sluiter said: “Nadal never hits just one ball. During the training he hits even harder than in the match.”  It has been observed that for every match practice, he accelerates his rhythm at full speed and dedication. However, at times, other players sometimes want the rally to be a bit slow or that if Nadal hits one ball at full speed, but generally that does not happen. Toni Nadal had compared Rafael Nadal to the FC Juventus football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Federer to Lionel Messi as well, a few days before. However Sluiter was not satisfied with this comparison and had shown his disagreement on Nadal-Ronaldo comparison. He mentioned that they are different as people and they started believing the same. It is also true that Dominic Thiem was the only player who had won over Rafael Nadal on clay this year, at the Mutua Madrid Open, and then lost to Nadal in a straight-set French Open final. Sluiter stated that “The best of five sets is different. He has not made it yet”. Also the tennis legend John McEnroe said “I would see him coming back quickly if he’s healthy” about Andy Murray, who is set to compete again at the Brisbane International late this month.
