Shillong Lajong Vs East Bengal

The 2017–18 I-League is the 11th season of the I-League. The season began on 25 November 2017. The match between Shillong Lajong and East Bengal took place on March 5, 2018 as part of the I-League 2017-18. Although East Bengal wanted to steal the match, but they could not succeed. They ended up at 2-2 draw in Shillong in the end. The credit for bringing Eastern Bengal back in the game goes to Dudu Omagbemi. This draw has heated up the scenario. It has given Mohun Bagan a better probability of winning the match as well. During the match, Shillong Lajong captain, 19-year-old Samuel Lalmuanpuia, played exceptionally well. His link up play with Tlang was a treat for everyone else to witness. Samuel even hit the bar on a couple of occasions, and forced East Bengal keeper CK Ubaid into making multiple saves.
