Sindhu and Prannoy Progresses in England Open Badminton Championships

P.V. Sindhu and H. S. Prannoy reaches second round of All England Open Badminton Championships at Barclaycard Arena. Sixth seed Sindhu defeated Danish Mette Poulsen with 21- 10 and received 21-11 win in 29 minutes.
The second round will witness Indian Sindhu against Indonesian Dinar Dyah Ayustine. Prannoy defeated China’s Qiao Bin with 17-21, 22-20, 21- 19 in men’s singles match which went for about an hour and 22 minutes. India could not outshine with their potential in doubles. Manu Attri and B. Sumeeth Reddy lost against Peter Briggs and Tom Wolfenden who won by 21-19, 10-21, 21-18 in 47 minutes.
The women’s doubles pair consisting of Jakkampudi Meghana and Poorvisha S. Ram lost against Chinese Taipei’s Hsu Ya Ching and Wu Ti Jung by 19-21, 12-21 in 31 minutes.
