
Singles and Doubles Progress Made by Yuki Bhambri

Yuki Bhambri received entry into pre-quarter finals of singles and quarter finals of doubles. He got a fine start in the $125,000 challenger tennis tournament in Tashkent. When the Kazakh retired from the singles match, Yuki had a lead of 3 – 0 against Alexandr Nedovyesov.
Then along with Divij Sharan, both of them beat the top seeds Guillermo Duran and Andres Molteni from the Argentina with 6-4, 6-2 respectively. Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Vishnu Vardhan were the fourth seeds of the match. They were beaten in the two extended tie – breaks by Thomas Fabbiano of Italy and Luca Margaroli of Switzerland. Jayesh Pungliya and Aryan Goveas entered the pre – quarter finals of singles in the $25,000 ITF men’s Futures in Nigeria. The growing confidence of Karman Kaur Thandi was emphasized. It was due to her win against the seasoned Akgul Amanmuradoya of Uzbekistan. She was also able to make the doubles semifinals with Samantha Murray of Britain.
