
Smartwatch App: Safety Device for Patients

Soon, patient will get a smartwatch app to keep a check on their health. Researchers from Binghamton University in the US are working on the idea to develop a smartwatch app.
The new Smartwatch will help nurses to answer ‘alerts’ by patients more quickly and prevent illness that may direct to serious injury. The researchers have stated that the app has lot more benefits that include improvement in communication and notification system in nursing homes.
The app is being developed to emerge all existing safety measures at nursing homes, for example call light, wander guards, chair and bed alarms, help-calling-functions, as well as delivers alerts to users.
In the course of the process of iterative devise and evaluation with potential users, a final design was well acknowledged by the nursing experts.
