South Africa Beat India by 5 Wickets in the India vs South Africa, 4th ODI

On February 10, 2018, India lost the fourth one-day international against South Africa at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. Although India did not win on South African soil, they still lead the six-match series 3-1. India played the game quite well.

Dhawan scored his 13th ODI hundred and helped India post 289/7. He became the first Indian batsman to score a century in his 100th ODI and ninth overall. Due to lightning and thunderstorm the match had to stop when India were 200/2 in 34.2 overs. When the game started again, India lost three wickets in 5.3 over. Dhoni hit a six and three fours in his 43-balls innings. Later, India lost another wicket in the form of AjinkyaRahane to Ngidi as they slumped to 210/4 in 36.3 overs, from 178/1 in 31 overs.South Africa was given a revised target of 202 in 28 overs. They beautifully chased it with Heinrich Klaasen (43 not out) and AndilePhehlukwayo (23 not out). Klassen smashed one six and five fours during his inning; and Phehlukwayo smashed three sixes and a four. During the match, Kuldeep Yadav dismissed HashimAmla (33) and JP Duminy (10) one after the other. Later Hardik Pandya dismissed De Villiers after he hit two sixes and a four. Miller then hit Pandya and turned the balance in favour of South Africa after some hitting. Overall, South Africa chased down the revised target of 202 with 2.3 overs to spare.
