SSC Question Papers In Maharashtra Leaked, Case Registered

Maharashtra SSC Questions papers were found leaked at Bhiwandi in Thane district of Maharashtra on Wednesday, police said. A case was registered for the same at Narpoli police station against an unidentified person in this connection. Two subjects of the SSC (Class X) conducted by the Maharashtra State Board was leaked.

 “As per the complaint filed by a state board official, examination of history and political science subjects was scheduled to take place on Wednesday,” said M B Shinde, senior inspector of Narpoli police station.

“For the exam that was to start at 11 am, students were expected to be in the exam hall by 10.15 am. However, outside an exam centre at Kalher in Bhiwandi, the board official found some girl students checking their mobile phones inside an autorickshaw,” he added to his statement.

 When their phones were checked by an official, he found question papers of subjects’ political science and history. The girls got the leaked question paper through a messaging application. When the official tallied both the question papers, they were found to be the same.

 A case has been registered under IPC section 406 (criminal breach of trust) and section 72 of the Information Technology Act. No arrests have been made so far, said police. However, they did mention that question papers of geometry, science and algebra subjects were also leaked in the district earlier. The SSC (secondary school certificate) exam started on 1st of March.
